Early autumn - just when the season is changing, its cooling slightly and the leaves are turning red & orange & golden.

2. "It's too cold to snow!" Do you think it ever is?

No. But then again it may be.

3. Do you feel there is still a place for British Summer Time or should we just stop changing the clocks?

Its too much hassle nowdays & doesn't serve much purpose - give it up!

Im not sure, i think i tend to eat the same food but different amounts i.e more hot stuff in winter & vice-versa

... its sunday afternoon. I've been to work and am home again.
Unwinding on the couch with hot croissant & nutella, and a cappuccino, and listening to this. It makes me think back to sitting in a cafe next to the river in Paris, listening to jazz music and watching the world go by. Its such an amazing place and feeling!

Yesterday my parents and sister left for Canada. Spent the day with my sister and had our last 'curled up on the couch laughing and eating sweets' day together. Went to the hotel at the airport with them to have a drink and say goodbye. Came home and spent the night feeling ... numb?

Birthday Celebrations - Part One

Happy Days!! Its my birthday on the 9th so as we always do in my family we started my birthdayweek at the weekend, and I really can't remember the last time I drank that much alcohol!!

My cousin came down from Edinburgh on Friday evening to stay with us for the weekend. We decided to have a 'quiet night out' with four of us having a bite to eat and a catch up so we headed out just before 6pm... shame we didn't get in until 1am! The place we went to didn't half take me back to when I first started going out!! Llods Bar, Yates, Varsity, the chippy on the way to another bar (Lobster Pot is THE best chippy in the world), and Mathew Street!! Some stupid scally lad thought it was funny to trip me up and sprain my ankle.

Me and my poor leg tidied the house and got all the food and drink ready for the BBQ on Saturday - people turned up from 5 onwards and i didn't think it would be a late one to be honest - not until I fell into bed at 5am anyway!! Amazing night!! Cider, beer, wine, vodka, apple shots (my fave) and sangria helped the night along very well, as did the caramel apple pie & carrot cake which I used as birthday cakes :) woohoo!! Got loads of presents and cards but because i'm a good girl I put them all away until wednesday. Not one did I open!!

Birthday Part 2 - dinner and drinks with my parents, sister & boyfriend. Birthday Part 3 - Alton Towers with my boyfriend, sister & sisters friend Birthday Part 4 - Dinner with boyfriend Birthday Part 5 - dinner and drinks with my girl Tee

Oooh im so excited!! Oh oh oh and i bought tickets to see Newton Faulkner again too!!

Hope you all had a great weekend too... now back to that damn Mafia Wars!!

There's something special about coming home from a bad day at the office to find that your boyfriend has run you a nice hot bubble bath (complete with rubber duckie!) and lit some lovely scented candles in the bathroom for you!!

Thats what I came home to yesterday. And not only that but he knew I what I was making for tea last night and he had already started it, so when I walked into the house I was greeted with the GORGEOUS smell of beef casserole bubbling away in the oven!!
It was so nice to unwind with a hot bath, a glass of cold white wine & nice candles, listening to relaxing music like this

Now thanks to the bank holiday I have three whole days off in which time I have housework to do, Im going to clean my Bobcar, go to an 18th party, go to my familys leaving BBQ and of course, hit the Mathew Street Festival!!

Working 9-5...or not

The last few weeks have been work work work study study study and thats it!! (Ok ok apart from the few drunken girly nights out here an there) But at least I can say I am FINALLY getting recognition for everything I do in work!! Haha they would be totally and utterly screwed if I left tomorrow!! I do the work of two staff AND the manager on my team!!

But as much as i can bitch and moan about my job and the people I work with, I like it really!! Days where i can go into work, put my iPod and plough through a stack of work (court records, recruitment checks, child protection checks - tis a varied job!!) and make the odd cup of tea are the days I love!! I can get SO much done on those days without certain people disctracting me or asking stupid questions!!

So my parents are finally moving....on the 12th September!! Its a bit weird really coz I don't think its sunk in yet!! I don't feel anything about it because it's all just talk to me, even though the movers and flights are booked!! On the bright side it means my Sam will be moving in permanent in about a week or so. I love coming home from work when he's here and so excied to see me!! And the fact that I HAVE to exercise when we have him because he needs walking!

Oh well... I best go to bed i suppose coz even though it FEELS like friday its only thursday. Gawd I wanna go the jac (jacaranda) with Tee or Debbie now!!!

Hitting the slopes!

Ok ok so its not REAL mountain slopes but tomorrow i'm taking my sister to Chill Factore in Manchester so we can have a go at skiing. Neither or us has ever tried it beefore so I wonder who's going to fall on their arse first!! I'll bet its me!

I've been so busy lately it's unbelievable! On the good points though I went to see Bugsy Malone with three of the girls a couple of weeks ago. It was brilliant! Three of us went to town afterwards...and two of us ended up staying out until half two... on a school night!! lol.

A week later me and same late night girlie went to see Beauty & The Beast and went to town again after. Only till two this time thought!! Although that might be because I went out for tea the night before with my sister and was out till two then as well. Ooops.

Was good though, both nights with my mates were a Thursday and theres a decent bar in town that has an open mic night on a thursday, as well as having a good jukebox! And it was a wednesday when I went out with my sis so after we'd been to decent bar one (no mic night) we went to decent bar two (open mic night) and had a great time!!
